Charleston: A few quick notes

This post will be short and sweet, as I am enjoying a brief 30 minutes of peace and quiet while my husband takes our son to the hotel pool.  The dining highlight so far has been the Sweetwater Cafe, just off King Street, which my son actually discovered for lunch today.  It seemed very much a local cafe, populated by more college students than tourists.  Great food, friendly service and no wait.  My husband had roast beef with homemade horseradish sauce on sour dough that looked amazing!  I went for the slightly ‘healthier” option of the chicken and veggie pita.  Very tasty, and the fries were great (so much for healthy!).  No alcohol, but a great place to stop in downtown Charleston.  Oh well, back to my glass (actually plastic cup, forgot the stemware) of Powers Reserve Cabernet.  This is one of my faves and a sure cure to my aching feet after touring downtown Charleston, the aquarium and Fort Sumter.
