Rock Star in Greenville today!
In the world of wine, the wine makers and winery owners are rock stars! Especially if they make really delicious wine! I am very excited to have Sean Minor of Sean Minor Winery visiting Greenville the next two days. In his own words, “We founded Four Bears Winery and Sean Minor Wines in 2005 for a number of reasons. First and foremost, we wanted to make delicious, quality wines that continually exceed your expectations. We are all about family and we named our business for our four children: Nick, Elle, Jack and Charlie. Starting our own winery is both a professional and personal dream. Not long after Nicole and I were married, we discovered that our second largest monthly expense was wine. We enjoy wine every day with dinner, when friends and family come to visit, during celebrations… actually, I can’t think of time we don’t enjoy wine. After a number of years in the industry, I knew there had to be a better and more affordable way to produce great wines that didn’t have severe consequences on the pocket-book. We started Four Bears Winery and began sourcing wine lots for our final blends.”
Look for us in the Greenville and Spartanburg area the next two days. We will be visiting several of our local restaurants that pour Sean Minor wines, such as Rick Erwin’s, Nantucket Seafood, Soby’s and many more! We will also be hosting a wine tasting tonight at Northampton Wines (see my earlier post for details), and a wine tasting at the Piedmont Club in Spartanburg tomorrow. Join us for a glass of wine!
Have you heard of Txakolina?
Do you even know how to pronounce the name of this type of wine? Sounds like choco-lee-na. It is a white wine from the Basque region of Spain. It is made predominantly from the indigenous grape varietal of Hondarrabi Zurri. The Mokoroa Tkakoli is new to Greenville, SC and can be found at Stellar Wine Bar. Stop in soon to try this crisp, refreshing wine with some great tapas!
